Our Draught-Proofing Service eliminates draughts and rattling; saves heat, energy and money; significantly improve sound-proofing, and includes a complete re-cording and balancing service to get your windows opening and closing smoothly again - so you'll be much warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer too. And all for a fraction of the cost of unsightly uPVC replacement windows.

Re-cording and Servicing
If your windows are jammed, or the cords are broken, or they slide open or shut due to incorrect weighting then this is the basic service required to get them working nicely again. The service includes freeing up jammed windows, oiling the pulleys, balancing the window weights and re-cording with a top quality wax-cotton cord. This service is also includes as part of the draught-proofing service.
Full Restoration
Our top of the range service for those that want their windows restoring to their former glory, but with the added improvement of full draught proofing. In this service the windows are removed and the frames temporarily boarded up. The windows and taken to our workshop where they are sanded back and repainted in their component parts. Draught proof carriers are also fitted at this point. Back at the house any rot in the sash boxes or sills is repaired and the sash boxes are sanded back and painted. New brass pulleys can be fitted as an option. The windows are then re-fitted with all new draught-proof beadings, a final trim paint is applied, and any chosen fittings.
Rot Repair
We can fix all rot problems in frames, boxes and sills. For minor problems we cut back to good wood and use a hard-wearing and flexible two-part epoxy repair. We can also replace whole sills and get top quality new sashes made-to-measure if required.
Security
We can make your sash windows secure, whilst remaining fully functional, with a choice of beautiful period fittings.
